The FTI Gravity Belt Thickener is designed to efficiently thicken slurries from process and waste streams for industrial and municipal waste water applications. The compact Gravity Belt Thickener is ideally used prior to digestion, mechanical dewatering or disposal. Depending on the product or slurry to be thickened final dry solids content of 6-10% can be expected with the highest capture rate and lowest polymer usage due to the gentle but efficient handling of even the most fragile sludges and slurries.

The FTI Gravity Belt Thickener is a free standing system that separates the free water from the feed amterial by gravity through a porous moving belt which is placed on an incline to increase the resistance on the material along with supplemental dewatering plows and UHMW support grids to release the maximum amount of liquids while maintaining high throughputs and maximum capture of the solids.
