CASE STUDY: Vegetable Processing Plant
Problem-
A large west coast vegetable processing plant, required to separate their peel waste for recycling the water back and dewater the peelings for hauling and cattle feed.

Frontier Solution-
Use of FTI Wedge Press to dewater the peels after screening.

Results-
Successfully started up the first day and has not been shut down since. New plant expansion in another location, customer ordered another FTI Wedge Press; 1 1/2 times larger the following year.

CASE STUDY: Municipal
Problem-
A smaller municipal wastewater treatment plant in the midwest needed to dewater their solids from their thickener to meet regulatory requirements and reduce disposal cost. They had a low flow with a small capital budget.
Frontier Solution-
A 0.5 meter all stainless steel FTXI Belt Filter Press was used to dewater the solids to over 20%.
Results-
Exceeded solids discharge requirements within capital budget and less than half the price of other competing systems.

CASE STUDY: Pickle Processing Plant
Problem-
A midwest processor of pickle relish wanted to improve thier yield and quality of their relish, while also getting it dryer to meet some of their customers requirements.
Frontier Solution-
Replaced their screw press dewatering system with an FTI Wedge Press to improve product quality, improve yield and increase capacity.
Results-
Incrase yield up to 35% more on the driest products. Quality integrity of the product undamaged even at the driest levels. Saved 35% of buying raw product with increased profit margins of the finished product. Ordered a second unit the following year for the increased demand of their product.

CASE STUDY: Food Ingredient Manufacturer
Problem-
A major food ingredient manufacturer in the southwest, required to dewater their product prior to drying it to a powder with the least amount of energy consumption for dewatering and drying.
Frontier Solution-
Replace their existing screw presses with a FTI Continuous Belt Extractor with high pressure nip-rolls
Results-
Increased product dryness prior to the dryer by 10%. Reducing the drying cost and increasing the yield of the product by replacing the screw press. The company has since purchased two more units, one for another product line and a larger unit for product line expansion.

CASE STUDY: Membrane Filtration OEM
Problem-
A major manufacturer of membrane filtration systems was treating tannery wastewater, but their membrane openings kept plugging with hair fibers and required frequent shut downs.
Frontier Solution-
Designed and manufactured a 40 micron IRDS (internally fed rotary drum screen) all enclosed with 316L stainless steel to meet their processing application and high temperature requirements.
Results-
Membrane operation was never interrupted by plugging of the feed openings and rotary filter operated continuously in conjunction with the membrane filter.
